St. Thomas' Church and Peace Gardens

Walk through the Peace Gardens to see the historic tower of St Thomas' Church. The gardens are quietest early in the day, offering a calm start before the city noise builds up.

    Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses

Head to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses. The walk is a steady twenty-eight minutes through the city. Arrive just as the gardens open to enjoy the humidity and greenery without the midday crowds. The glasshouses are particularly striking in the morning light.

    Edwardian Tea Rooms

For lunch, walk to the Edwardian Tea Rooms. It is a fourteen-minute walk from the gardens. The food is surprisingly good for the price, and the atmosphere is authentic. Be aware they close at 17:00, so this is your window for a proper meal.
