Timeline
19:05
Grab a legendary English breakfast at Grand Central Kitchen. The queue is worth it, especially when you need the fuel for a walk in the cooling air.
19:20
Walk up to Singers Hill Synagogue. It sits high enough to offer a clear view toward the west. Find a quiet corner or step outside if permitted, and watch the sky turn from blue to orange as the sun dips below the horizon toward the WNW.
20:35
Head down to The Malt House for a pint. With the outdoor seating, you can still feel the residual warmth of the day while enjoying a drink along the canal.
Local tip
The walk from the Bullring area to the synagogue is about 15 minutes. Bring a light layer as Birmingham evenings cool down quickly after sunset.
Check before you go
- Grand Central Kitchen is a food truck spot; check for daily queues as the Sunday breakfast is particularly popular.
- The Malt House is open until 23:00 daily, so you have plenty of time to linger after the sunset.
