Arrive at the Terry Hie Hie Aboriginal Area early to secure a parking spot and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The area is a traditional meeting place for the local Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay/Gamilaroi people, offering a sense of history and peace. You can start with the Yana-y Warruwi walking track, a 3.5-km loop that takes between 2½ and 3½ hours to complete. The terrain is hard, so wear sturdy shoes.
11:00
Take a break at the picnic area. There are tables and fire rings available, but remember to bring your own firewood if you plan to light a fire. The site has toilets and drinking water, though you should boil the water or bring your own supply. This is a good time to rest and reflect on the cultural significance of the land.

Finish your visit by exploring the surrounding cultural reserves. The area features six reserves, each with its own story. If you have time, you can use the barbecue facilities, but note that barbecues are not permitted during certain conditions, so check locally. End your trip with a moment of silence in this sacred landscape.
