Walk to Sand Island Park. Find a spot along the Lehigh River with a clear view of the west. The playgrounds and trails offer plenty of room to spread out and wait.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts about forty minutes before this moment, but the final drop over the horizon is the key event.

End the evening with a beer at Ripper's Pub. It is a casual hole-in-the-wall near Main St, perfect for unwinding after the walk.
Local tip
The walk from the bookshop to the park is short. If you want a hot meal instead of browsing, Nawab Indian Restaurant is also very close to the park and open until 19:30.
Check before you go
- Moravian Book Shop closes at 18:00 on weekdays. Arrive early enough to browse before then.
- Ripper's Pub is open daily until 02:00.
