Grab a hot drink or a coffee at Bar Sofia. The interior is delightfully tacky, and it is the perfect low-key start to your evening. Note that alcoholic drinks are only served from 18:00, so stick to hot beverages if you arrive earlier.
15:36
Walk north to the East Side Gallery. This is the longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall, covered in vibrant street art. The afternoon light here is soft and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great place to wander before the sun goes down.
16:21
Head back to Görlitzer Park. As the sun sets toward the southwest, find a spot near the Wiener Straße. The park is famous for its relaxed student atmosphere and summer barbecues, but in winter it offers a quiet, open space to watch the day end. Be aware that the area has a reputation for pickpockets, so keep your belongings close.
17:06
Finish your night at Madame CLAUDE. This pub is known for its crazy upside-down decor and live indie-rock or folk gigs five days a week. It is open daily from 18:00 till late, making it the perfect spot to unwind after the sunset.
Local tip
The walk between Bar Sofia and the East Side Gallery is short, but the East Side Gallery to Görlitzer Park is a bit of a trek. If you prefer to stay in the Kreuzberg area, you can skip the gallery and walk directly from the park to Madame CLAUDE, which is only a 6-minute walk away.
