Timeline

  1. 15:21

    Skansen panorama point

Head to Skansen panorama point. This viewpoint sits just above the funicular’s lowest station, offering an excellent, unobstructed panorama of the city and bay. It is right in front of the old white wooden fire lookout tower. Arrive early to secure a good spot for the sunset.

  2. 16:21

    Kafé Kippers

Walk down to Kafé Kippers. The café is just a short walk from the viewpoint area. Order a meal or a drink here. The view from inside is extraordinary, and on a clear day, you can watch the activity in the bay as the light fades. Note that the kitchen serves meals from 11:00, so you can still grab dinner after sunset.

  3. 17:06

    Kippers USF Bar & Kafé

Finish the evening at Kippers USF Bar & Kafé. Located at the same complex, this bar stays open later than the main café. It is a relaxed spot to unwind after dinner. The bar is open until 23:00 on most days, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a nightcap.

Local tip

The walk from Skansen down to the waterfront is steep in places. Wear comfortable shoes. Kafé Kippers and Kippers USF Bar are part of the same USF complex, so you can easily move between them without going back out into the cold.
