    Duke of York

Grab a pint at the Duke of York. This classic mirrored beer hall is just a two minute walk from the cathedral and opens at 11:30, so you have plenty of time to settle in before the light changes.

    Saint Anne's Cathedral

Walk to Saint Anne's Cathedral. The 130-foot metal spire is floodlit at night, but in the final minutes before sunset it catches the fading golden light. Arrive early enough to find a quiet corner inside or on the steps to watch the transition.

    The Botanic Inn

End the evening at The Botanic Inn. It is a six minute walk from the cathedral through the leafy Botanic Gardens area. The pub is popular with students and office workers, offering good food and drink in a lively atmosphere as the city settles into night.
