    Soieries du Mekong Silk Centre

Arrive at Soieries du Mekong Silk Centre as it opens. Walk through the silk-making process and try weaving yourself. The centre is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:00, so you have plenty of time before the midday break.

  2. 14:21

    CBT Restaurant

Head to CBT Restaurant for lunch. The trained cooks serve clean, safe meals in a dedicated area. Breakfast is US$2, while lunch and dinner are US$4. This is your best option for a reliable meal near the anchor.

  3. 16:21

    Chan Rom Restaurant

Stroll to Chan Rom Restaurant for a snack. Located under a big tree across from the moat and taxi stand, this spot serves basic Khmer food directly from the pots. There is no menu, just look inside and order what appeals to you. Prices range from US$1.00 to US$2.50.

  4. 18:21

    Banteay Chhmar Baray

Walk to Banteay Chhmar Baray to watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, aligning perfectly with the view from this park. On 15 April, the golden light begins around 17:52 and sunset occurs at 18:21. This is a quiet spot with a 33-minute walk from the silk centre.

Local tip

The silk centre is closed on weekends, so plan your visit for a weekday. Lunch at CBT Restaurant is the most hygienic option, while Chan Rom offers a more rustic, local experience.
