Timeline

  1. 09:00

    Dasa Book Cafe

Start with a quiet browse at Dasa Book Cafe. The shelves are packed with used English, French, and Scandinavian titles. It is a calm place to settle in before heading out, and the staff are happy to let you linger over a book.

  2. 09:45

    Benjakiti Park

Walk west to Benjakiti Park. This former tobacco factory compound has a lake and semi-wild vegetation that feels far removed from the city traffic. It is a perfect spot for a morning walk before the park fills up with joggers and families.

  3. 10:45

    Pala Pizza Romana

Head back east for lunch at Pala Pizza Romana. This casual Italian diner sits right under the Asok BTS station. It is busy, but the pizza by the slice is great value and quick to eat. It is a reliable stop for a good-value meal in the area.

  4. 11:30

    Benchasiri Park

Finish at Benchasiri Park. This compact park was built to commemorate the 60th birthday of HM Queen Sirikit. It features a huge sculpture of a commemorative coin and 12 pieces of contemporary sculptures. It is a peaceful end to the walk, with plenty of space to sit and reflect.

Local tip

The parks are open early, but the book cafe and restaurant have specific opening hours. Check that Pala Pizza Romana is open if you plan to eat there later in the day, as it closes at 23:00.

Check before you go

  • Dasa Book Cafe is open 10:00-20:00. Arriving at 09:00 means you might need to wait a few minutes for it to open, or adjust your start time slightly.
