Timeline

  1. 09:00

    Royal Barge National Museum

Walk the path from Phra Arthit Pier over the Phra Pin Klao Bridge, left into Wat Dusitaram Road, and through the residential alleys to the Royal Barge National Museum. Arrive right at opening to see the Suphannahongse in the morning light without the midday crowds.

  2. 10:30

    Peanocchio

Walk 11 minutes to Peanocchio. Take a seat on the large patio overlooking the Chao Phraya River. Order the fusion food or vegan options and a craft beer while watching the river traffic. The view is perfect for a relaxed lunch break.

  3. 11:30

    Santichaiprakan Park

Walk 19 minutes to Santichaiprakan Park. Find a spot near the open-air pavilion or the Phra Sumen Fort. The cool river breeze makes this the ideal place to rest and reflect on the morning’s sights before the afternoon heat sets in.

Local tip

The Royal Barge National Museum opens at 09:00. Peanocchio is open from 10:00, so your timing allows for a leisurely museum visit before lunch. Santichaiprakan Park is open all day, but the morning and early afternoon are the most comfortable times to sit outside.
