    Foxhole

Start with high-quality Thai coffee and a savory pie at Foxhole. This family-run hole-in-the-wall cafe oozes character and offers excellent all-day breakfasts or light bites in a relaxed setting. Arriving early ensures you get a seat before the evening crowd.

  2. 17:24

    Santichaiprakan Park

Walk to Santichaiprakan Park to secure a spot near the open-air pavilion. This small green space offers a great view of the river and the modern Rama VIII suspension bridge. The golden light starts hitting the water and the bridge structure around this time, providing a stunning backdrop for the approaching sunset.

  3. 18:09

    Santichaiprakan Park

Watch the sun dip below the horizon. The view looks westward across the river, capturing the final moments of daylight as the sky shifts from gold to deep blue. The Rama VIII bridge stands silhouetted against the fading light.

  4. 18:54

    Amorosa Bar and The Deck

End the evening at Amorosa Bar and The Deck. This rooftop bar is famous for its spectacular sunset views of Wat Arun. Since seating is limited to 20 inside, arriving after the main sunset event allows you to enjoy the twilight ambiance and the illuminated temple without the rush for the prime viewing seats earlier in the day.

Local tip

Santichaiprakan Park is small and fills up quickly during golden hour. If you want a clearer view of the bridge, arrive before the golden light starts. For the sunset itself, the pavilion area is best. At Amorosa, expect to pay a premium for the view and the drink, but the atmosphere is unmatched.
