Arrive at the Kologdam Building. Built in 1920 by architect Wolff Schoemaker, this structure blends New Indies Style, Frank Lloyd Wright influences, and Amsterdam School architecture. It now serves as a meeting and training location for the Western Java division of the Indonesian army. Take a moment to admire the exterior design before heading out.
14:15
Walk five minutes to Lomie Lombok for a quick bite. Order the Lomie Bandung, a boiled noodle dish served with a brownish seafood sauce and Dorokdok crackers. It is a local specialty that fits perfectly into a short afternoon break. The shop is open from 10:00 to 17:00, so this is a safe time to visit.
14:45
Walk 17 minutes north to Gasibu Park. This large lawn square in front of Gedung Sate is a favorite spot for a relaxed walk. You can meander through the green space and head all the way towards Monju (Monumen Perjuangan), which is about 500 metres away. On Sundays, the square transforms into a fairground, but on weekdays it offers a quiet, open space to decompress after your meal.
Local tip
The Kologdam Building is a working military facility, so please respect any signage regarding photography or restricted areas. Gasibu Park is open to the public, but be mindful of local events if you visit on a Sunday.
Check before you go
