Timeline

  1. 07:08

    Armistead Monument

Find the Armistead Monument. Stand facing WSW to catch the first light hitting the statue as the sun breaks the horizon.

  2. 07:42

    Orpheus with the Awkward Foot

Walk to the nearby Orpheus with the Awkward Foot statue. The morning light offers a clear view of the monument details before the crowds arrive.

  3. 07:59

    Charmed Kitchen

Head to Charmed Kitchen for coffee and breakfast. It opens at 06:30, which is well before the 07:24 sunrise, so you can sit down immediately.

  4. 08:24

    SS John W. Brown

End your morning at the SS John W. Brown. The Liberty ship is berthed nearby, and the morning light reflects beautifully off the water and the historic hull.
