    The Book Escape

Grab a coffee or a book at The Book Escape in Federal Hill. It is open until 18:00, so you have plenty of time to browse or sip something warm before the light changes.

  2. 16:27

    Federal Hill Park

Walk up to Federal Hill Park. This hill offers the best vantage point in the city for pictures, overlooking both the north and south skylines of the Inner Harbor. Find a spot near the cannons and wait.

    Federal Hill Park

Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. The golden light hits the water and the skyline just before sunset at 17:07. The view from this hill captures the full width of the harbor.

  4. 17:27

    Rusty Scupper

Head down to the Rusty Scupper for a late dinner. It is one of Baltimore's most high-profile seafood spots, and the view of the Baltimore skyline from here is magnificent. The kitchen is open until 10 PM.

Local tip

The walk from Federal Hill Park to the Rusty Scupper is short, but the hill is steep. Wear comfortable shoes. The sun sets in the WSW direction, which aligns perfectly with the view from Federal Hill Park.
