Grab a drink at Caton Castle. This is one of Baltimore's best jazz clubs, and you will not find a single other tourist given the out-of-the-way location. Kick it with the locals and listen to some great local music.

Walk south along the Gwynns Falls Trail to the main trail section. This is truly underground Baltimore at its best. The trail runs through Gwynns Falls Park from the edge of the city straight into the Inner Harbor.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts about 16:26, but the main event is the sunset at 17:07. The trail offers a clear view of the sky as it darkens over the creek.

Continue walking as the light fades. The trail is safe and well-used, allowing you to enjoy the transition from day to night in the park.
Local tip
Jazz is generally only on Saturdays at Caton Castle, so check the online calendar or call ahead if you are visiting on a weekday.
