Timeline

  1. 17:20

    El Bolsi

Grab a bite at El Bolsi. This 1960s institution is open 24/7, so you can pop in anytime. Order something from the pastry section or the main restaurant to fuel up before the walk.

  2. 18:05

    Mirador Ita Pyta Punta

Walk from the city center to Mirador Ita Pyta Punta. It is a short ride or a long walk from the shops near Palacio de López. Arrive with 30 minutes to spare. The park is pleasant and offers a clear view of the river Paraguay.

  3. 18:35

    Mirador Ita Pyta Punta

Watch the sunset. In mid-April, the sun sets toward the W at 18:35. The golden light starts around 18:04, so the sky will be brightening into that perfect evening hue by the time you settle in. Note that the lookout is technically fenced, but locals have opened it up for visitors.

  4. 19:20

    Lido Bar

End the night at Lido Bar. Head back toward the center. This 1950s American-style cafe-bar is open until 01:30. It is a historic spot that Anthony Bourdain visited, and the atmosphere is unchanged and welcoming.
