Timeline
17:44
Grab a coffee or tea at Hibachi-san. It is the closest spot to the viewing area and opens early enough to be ready before you head out.
18:09
Walk six minutes from Hibachi-san to The Wave Field. This Maya Lin earth sculpture is your stage. Find a spot where you can see the Lurie Tower in the distance to the ENE.
18:29
Watch the sunset. Between 31 Oct and 06 Nov, or 03 Feb and 09 Feb, the sun will set directly behind the tower. The light shifts across the grass waves as the sky darkens.
18:59
End the evening at Palace Tang. It is a short walk from The Wave Field and stays open late, giving you a place to sit and digest the view.
