Timeline
06:44
Arrive at Gallup Park early. The 69-acre space along the Huron River is open from 06:00, so you will have the walkways and pedestrian bridges mostly to yourself. Use this quiet time to find a spot near Geddes Pond and watch the morning light settle over the water.
07:54
Walk the asphalt trails and cross the pedestrian bridges. The park is large enough that even as visitors arrive, you can still find open fields and quiet corners away from the main entrances.
08:39
End your visit by the canoe and kayak rental area. Even if you do not rent a boat, this is a good vantage point to see the river flow and the park's infrastructure. The park remains open until midnight, but morning is the best time for stillness.
