Timeline
15:30
Grab a warm meal at ТрактирЪ. It is a short walk from the cathedral and open until 20:00, so you have plenty of time to eat before heading out.
16:00
Walk to the Cathedral of St. Trinity. Stand in the square and look toward the southwest. The stone carvings and 16th-century frescos are visible, but the main event is the exterior light.
16:20
Move to the 'Я люблю Александров' public art piece. It is located SW of the cathedral. As the sun sets toward the WSW, the light will hit the area around this spot, creating a soft, golden atmosphere for your photo.
16:40
End the evening at The Loft. This café is open 24/7 and is just 11 minutes from the cathedral. It is a reliable place to sit, have a drink, and reflect on the day as the city lights come on.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the WSW in January. If you want the best light on the 'Я люблю Александров' sign, stand there as the sun dips below the horizon. The Loft is a safe bet for a late stop since it never closes.
