"Red Terror" Martyrs Memorial Museum
Walk into the 'Red Terror' Martyrs Memorial Museum. The building is adjacent to Meskel Sq and the visit is brief, taking no more than 15 minutes. It serves as a simple and powerful reminder of those who lost their lives during the Derg era.

Head to The Blue Hen café for a break. Sit on the porch to watch the activity on one of the main roads in Addis. This spot is open from 08:00, so it is ready for you as you finish your museum visit. Note that on Sundays the café closes at 19:00, while on other days it stays open until 21:00.

Stroll north to Africa Park. This green space stretches along Menelik II Avenue and offers a quiet place to walk and reflect after the intensity of the memorial. It is a short walk from the café.

The memorial is open daily from 08:00 to 18:30. A donation is appreciated at the entrance.
