Start with a drink at Ma Cameron's. It is a friendly pub in a former coaching inn with good pub grub, located just a short walk from the city centre gardens. You have plenty of time before the light fades.
15:44
Walk east from Union Terrace Gardens toward Seaton Park. It is one of the city's biggest parks and offers open views toward the west. Arrive early to find a good spot on the grass.
15:59
Watch the sun set toward the SW. The golden light starts around 14:43, so the park will be bathed in warm light before the sun dips below the horizon at 15:59.
16:29
Stay for the twilight. The park remains open and peaceful as the light fades, giving you a quiet moment to end the evening.
Local tip
The walk from Union Terrace Gardens to Seaton Park takes about 31 minutes. Plan your departure from the bar accordingly so you arrive at the park just before the golden light peaks.
