Timeline
15:01
Walk the hilly paths of Marselisborg Deer Park before the sun dips. The landscape is less thickly-forested here, offering clear views of the free-roaming deer against the fading light. Avoid the northern end if you want to keep the walk short and focused on the main deer area.
15:56
Stop at Thors Mølle for a drink or a light bite. It is the closest option to the park and fits perfectly before the evening crowds arrive. Note that it closes at 16:00, so you must arrive before the sunset moment.
16:46
Walk east to Ballehage Beach. The white sand and green hills provide a quiet, scenic backdrop as the sky darkens. It is a short, easy walk from the park area.
17:16
End the night at Varna for dinner. It is open until 23:00, giving you plenty of time to settle in after your walk. It is one of the few places nearby that remains open late enough for a post-sunset meal.
Local tip
The park is open from dawn to dusk. Do not visit during mating season (Sep-Nov) for your own safety and to avoid stressed animals.
