Timeline
15:30
Pick up a coffee or a quick bite at Hella. It is just a minute’s walk from the theatre and opens early enough to be ready for you.
16:00
Walk nine minutes to Hantwerk. This gastrobar in the northern harbour district is a local favourite for a reason. Order a beer brewed in-house by Humleland or a glass of wine. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for settling in before the main event.
16:15
Walk thirty-seven minutes west to the Aarhus Botanical Gardens. This is your viewing spot. The gardens offer a pleasant outdoor setting to watch the sun set toward the SW. Arrive just as the golden light begins to fade into the sunset at 16:15.
17:00
End the night at Harmonien. Walk back toward the city centre to this traditional pub. It is open daily from 13:00, so it will be ready for you. Grab a cheap beer, try your luck at darts or foosball, and enjoy the relaxed vibe as the evening settles in.
Local tip
The walk from Hantwerk to the Botanical Gardens is pleasant but takes some time. Keep an eye on the clock so you arrive at the gardens with enough light to enjoy the view before the sun dips below the horizon.
